PUJOLS POWER!!!!!!!!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Oh. My. God.

Andy Pettitte said it best, from the Houston dugout. You could see the awe in his face.

Albert Pujols launched one of the most spectacular HRs ever, in the most improbable of situations. The Cardinals were down to their last out, nay, down to their last strike when they got that rally going. Eckstein scratched his way on base, as normal. Jim Edmonds gets the correct calls at the plate (one night too late) and coaxes a walk, and then Pujols. Humble, powerful Pujols, who got his pitch to hit. The home run had the most beautiful arch; it seemed to clear outer space.

I've never heard 43,000 people shut up, just like that, in my life," Larry Walker said. "One second, you could barely hear in here. And the next second, all that noise was gone. And the only noise you could hear was on our bench."

Indeed. Headed back to Saint Lou-ay. Nelly, get ready.
