Teams, Take Note:

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

This is how you win an unprecedented (for years now), not-even-close-to-ever-being-done-in-any-pro-sport, FOURTEENTH CONSECUTIVE division title:

Never succumbing to the plight of injuries. Fighting back to first, post-All Star break. Talented scouts. A well-run minor league system. A manager/constant encourager...who says "Come On, Kid!" to young and old at the plate. The best double-play combination in the game.

SIXTEEN PREPARED ROOKIES. The Baby Braves.

A 47-year old hulk/.300 hitter. A potential MVP who carried the team on his back; eternally smiling. A Cy Young starter turned 154-save closer turned starter who's still got it. The next Dale Murphy, the NL outfield assists leader.

A whole lot of gusto. Resilience. Excitement. A fresh perspective, but with the same trusty fundementals. Winning the right way, every day.

Congratulations, Braves. Now go win some more.

Go Braves, 14 in a row is an awesome achievement. Still worry, as I always do, that they will fall short in the post season.
